I don’t know why I was so sure that SCOTUS would shoot down Obamacare — it’s not like politicians would ever approve a judge who would ever limit their powers. Even the supposedly conservative chief justice has chosen to align himself with those who would make us all slaves. He, like the rest of them, should swing for it.

And this week we have a theme. As requested by Xpat, it’s Mediterranean Wednesday Wenches Week™! As always, click to embiggen, and enjoy!

Oh…my. The eyes, they kill me. Not to mention the rack…

I think she’d count as Mediterranean? Or Asian? Or Mediterrasian? Hey, look, boobies!

“If you want a vision of the future, Winston, imagine a boot stamping on a human face forever.”

This is right up there with the Chinese, after executing someone, giving their family a bill for the bullet!

Police stopped Jorge Guevara for driving a car without his 2-year-old secured in a car seat. The cops claim that as they were questioning him Guevara “started walking away”, and as the poor innocent lambs were trying to bring him back a “struggle” ensued. During that ass-kicking curb stomping  struggle Guevara assaulted the cops so terribly that one sprained his fingers, while the other fractured his hand in several places. Guevara was lucky to walk away with only facial contusions.

So, in short, the cops beat the crap out of Guevara, then charged him for hurting their hands as they did so. Yeah, that’s fair.

So remember, folks, next time you’re stopped by the cops, ask them to please put on gloves before they start kicking your ass.

The Image That Must Not Be Seen!!

The owner of the Miami Heat, the above-named Raanan Kaatz, is a very bad man. He’s a very rich man who thinks his fortune means the little people shouldn’t be able to say mean things about him. Kaatz is suing a blogger because she dared to write true stories about his litigation history. He’s even made implicit legal threatsagainst the media just for reporting on the case:

In the meantime, Levine has strong words for anyone who would consider writing about Katz’s lawsuit. “I’d ask you not to publish anything about this,” he says. “Even pointing people toward that blog could constitute further defamation.”

To dial the stupid up to 11, he’s also decided to sue Google, evidently on the transitive theory of copyright violations. The copyright violation is because he objects to a picture of him that was posted on the the blog, one that makes him look somewhat more stupid than he usually does. Thankfully the blogger has First Amendment Big Swinging Dick Mark Randazza on her side, so he can’t possibly lose. Google, I’m told, has a few lawyers of their own, and enough cash to grind the douchenozzle into the dirt. Why am I posting about it? Because, as Ken at Popehat wrote:

Raanan Katz has a great deal of money. Raanan Katz can therefore, without too much effort, harass a single blogger critical of him. Once ten bloggers write about him, the harassment starts to become noticeably expensive for Katz. When a hundred bloggers write about him, harassment litigation becomes impractical. When a thousand bloggers write about him, Katz passes into legend.

So if you have a blog, I would encourage you further proclaim Kaatz’s assnuggetry as well. Remember, Miami Heat owner RaananKaatz is a Censorious Ass-Twat™! H/T: Ken at Popehat, Carlos Miller. Other bloggers on the topic: I Have the Conch listen to my words, Mark Randazza’s Bolshy great yarblockos to thee and thine!, Techdirt, BoingBoingRanaan Katz and Alan Kluger: “Sue Everybody! Punitive Damages!”

Yeah, that awesome

I hate blogs that post a link to a story without much commentary, but hell, it’s my blog. Captain Capitalism has an awesome post that you must read.

Excerpt:

So a short message to all of you who think “the rich should pay more” to compensate you for;

YOU majoring in a stupid degree and taking on $100,000 in debt to pay for it
YOU breeding children you couldn’t afford and never bothered to think about
YOU being too lazy to put down the booze/drugs to find reliable employment
YOU for choosing a cushy government job and daring to demand people who actually produce something of wealth to pay for your bloated government salary and pension
YOU for just be a pathetic, lazy, moronic parasite who expects other people to pay for you

“YOU” cannot live without “US.”

WE produce the STUFF.  WE are the people who actually produce the goods and services that have value and people want and need.  YOU need US more than WE need YOU!

We’re the ones that produce the groceries to keep your “WIC Accepted Here” BS grocery isle full of the food you need.

We’re the ones that go to school for 10 years to become the doctors to provide you “free health care” when you decide to get knocked up for the 5th time before your 25th birthday.

We are the ones who engineer the buses and cars you ride to enjoy the roads WE designed with OUR MONEY you used for bus fare.

We are the only reason you live and exist today.  Without us, you would not exist.

That’s not an opinion.

It’s not a “wish.”

That’s not political bias.

Go. Read it, and add him to your blogroll.

The mask is  falling off the environmentalist movement pretty quickly, and the face underneath is far from pretty. It started with the Climategate scandal, and Climategate 2.0 was just as bad. Faked data, data that “went missing“, crappy computer code — it’s all good, right? As long as they’re looking out for the world’s climate.

Except that’s obviously not what they’re up to. As has been obvious for a while, all they’re really interested in is rolling back scientific progress and modern capitalist economies. The latest bit of evidence? The draft agenda for the UN’s Rio +20 conference calls for a deliberate economic “contraction” of the major economies of the world — all in the name of stopping climate change. And an earlier draft called for the “contraction and convergence for over- and under-consumers of natural resources” — in other words,  smaller economies grow at the expense of the larger ones. Oh, and since that leaked and people became more than a little upset, UN officials decided they needed to classify the draft to keep it out of the public eye.

If they were really interested in “saving the environment”, they’d be looking to engineers and scientists to find technological solution to the problems. That’s not what they’re interested in — they’d much rather shrink the major economies — and in the course, impoverishing billions of people — to fit into their economic framework. Socialism has never worked before, but damnit, they really, really want to try it now.

Time again for me to post a bunch of stories that I’ve been wanting to comment on, but for which I haven’t the time.

Crazy Nancy Fun Time!!

First off, it looks like someone let Pelosi out without her pills again. On the contempt motion to Attorney General Holder in the Gunwalker scandal, Nancy shows her growing dementia.  First she claims that she could have arrested Karl Rove on any given day if she had chosen. “I’m not kidding.”, rattled the old crone. “There’s a prison here in the Capitol. If we had spotted him in the Capitol, we could have arrested him.” It’s unclear if the grizzled old whore realizes that there’s a significant distinction between a political advisor and the Attorney General.

Flushed with that success, the evil harpy shrieked that the only reason Republicans are going after Holder is that they want to suppress minority votes. I’m thinking some of her botox must have seeped into her brain or something, because I can’t quite figure out any connection between the Fast and the Furious prosecution and voting rights. The takedown at http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2012/06/22/Gowdy-Strikes-Again-Pelosi-Mind-Numbingly-Stupid is beautiful to see, though.

I Pledge Allegiance to WHAT??

Saying the Pledge of Allegiance is always good for some controversy. The “Under God” part is always good for an argument, but how ’bout adding in a creepy pledge to be loyal to the school and teachers? Via Reason, we see that’s exactly what they do in Morganville, New Jersey. After pledging allegiance to the flag, the students are told to recite

I pledge allegiance to Asher Holmes and the Marlboro Township School District and to the teachers who help us learn, all that we need to know for the future. We promise to respect ourselves and others, to try our best and always be proud of our schools.

What’s wrong with indoctrinating our kids to be brainless followers of  bureaucrats, right?

Post-Racial Assholery

From Minnesota we find a college spending taxpayer money to stamp out racism — by “undermining ‘white privilege’”. It’s your typical liberal racebaiting assholery that you’d expect from a state school, but this is extra creepy by featuring 1984-style public confessions.

“You give me better jobs, better pay, better treatment, and a better chance – all because of the color of my skin,” reads one poster that features a close shot of a Caucasian male.

According to the campaign, it’s “unfair” to be white and male. Because you choose to be otherwise, I guess.

Good commentary on this story by the Worlds Only Rational Man and  CharlieDelta

It’s no big surprise to readers of this blog that I favor the legalization of drugs. Prohibition has never worked, and anytime the government declares a “War on Nouns” it results in bigger government, wasted money, and fewer liberties.

So naturally when I read that Uruguay planned to legalize cannabis I was delighted. But reading into it a bit I quickly learned that it wasn’t the libertarian dream I had imagined it was.

You see, Uruguay has never criminalized marijuana. It’s 100% legal to possess it now. All the Uruguayan government intends to do is to make it illegal for anyone but the government itself to sell the drug. So the government is, in effect, becoming a drug dealer, and mandating itself a monopoly. Good deal if you can pull it off!

The thing is, government can do nothing well — except, of course,  to waste money. There’s no way that this will accomplish its goal of decreasing crime, and I’m guessing that this will be the first marijuana operation ever that has managed to lose money. Quality will suck, service will suck, and few citizens will want to expose themselves to the type of government monitoring that a legalized purchase will no doubt bring about. It’s a lose-lose for everyone.

Ahh, hump day. There’s a lot to be said for a day named after my favorite hobby. As is now tradition (a tradition now one week old!) I present to you Wednesday Wenches!

Beautiful eyes, a beautiful smile, and a lovely rack. What’s not to love?

Red hair and freckles really does it for me.

Perky!

Mmmmmm, I love Latinas.

Also, Msg. B over at My Muse Shanked Me presented a similar post today, but I can’t quite understand the attraction of waffles…

You’ve got to love how the progressive media thinks it can still get away with spinning the truth blatant lies and not get called on it. The latest is this pretty video, in which they carefully edited the speech to make it look like Romney is completely out of touch with the common man.

The problem, of course, is that’s completely out of context. His speech was contrasting the innovation you see in private enterprise with the complete lack thereof in the public sector. Thankfully there was someone in the crowd who recorded the full speech.

See how different the two speeches are in content? What utter douchebaggery.

Quoth Politico:

The MSNBC clip feeds into the narrative, beloved by some on the left, that Romney is a 1950′s throwback. After the clip cut, Mitchell and MSNBC contributor Chris Cillizza broke out into laughter — which is understandable, given that they both had been led to believe that Romney was wowed by a simple machine. In fact, what Romney found so “amazing” was the discord between private sector innovation and public sector bureaucracy.

Politico has also posted an update, saying that Andrea Mitchell will “address” the Wawa clip today at 1 PM. Stay tuned!

H/T: William Jacobson at Legal Insurrection, who quotes Politico. Original story broken by SooperMexican.

Update: MSNBC doubles down on the douchebaggery, insisting they did nothing wrong.
