When I read that this past Saturday a “flash mob” of 300+ youths stormed a Walmart, I was tempted to call it a race riot. All of the rioters, as evidenced by the video, were African-American, but since the riot wasn’t based on race I guess you could just call it a “normal” riot, uprising, or mob. However, I would posit to you that the incident, just like last month’s uprising in Portland, OR, is indicative of the growing social breakdown among our nation’s black youths. And while it’s been just over 20 years since our last large-scale race riots, I fear that there are some serious problems coming down the road.
What’s going to touch it off? My guess is it’ll happen when George Zimmerman is found not guilty, or when the charges are dropped or thrown out of court. Or, should that not do it, when Obama is voted out of office. Imagine if we have a 2000-esque vote recount in Florida? That’ll certainly shake things up, that’s for sure.
Either way, it’s not gonna be pretty. What are you doing to prepare?
In a recent TV show a number of business owners were interviewd. One black owner of a fast food store said he could hire 10 people right now but jobs go unfilled. Most of those he does hire are not interested in real work.
Society has made a major shift that is now reflected in its politics. Everyone from multi-national corporations to illegals want free stuff paid for by a smaller and smaller pool of real workers.
An aha moment.
A buddy asked me, “What’s going to happen if Obama gets re-elected?”
I answered, “Don’t worry about that, worry about what happens when he doesn’t.”
Took him a moment, but he got it.
