…was the response of the president of the Houston Metro when he was taken to task for the TSA VIPR invasion last month. I’m rather encouraged to see the people of Houston getting this pissed about it, and holding their feet to the fire. More people need to stand up to this shit.

“A lot more dialog”
Can you think of anything more cowardly or ambiguous than a statement such as that? And what about that pesky little document known as the U.S. Constitution that mentions something about illegal searches? All of this is going on for what appears to be nothing more than another government photo-op.
All of this happening in Texas? Say it isn’t so. Texas is often held up as one of the last bastions of freedom in the USA. Now this is happening there? Although I hate it, I can understand this kind of crap happening in New York with a nitwit nanny like Bloomberg as Mayor, or in the people’s Republik of Kalifornia where we’re stuck with Jerry Brown, Diane Feinstein, and Barbara Boxer. Or even here in Los Angeles where we have Mayor Villarigosa – but not in Texas. At least the people in the video aren’t sheep and have no intention of going quietly.
“Dialog” my ass! How about some answers.
Hey Robert, off topic but I just visited AmericanThinker.com and saw this very very interesting article. You might want to check it out. In case you’ve never been to American Thinker it’s a very interesting Conservative/Libertarian leaning site. In the article I linked to they may have caught the Obama administration in a HUGE lie. It’s just speculation but it’s food for thought.

Ahh, Rich, of course the statement was cowardly and ambiguous. It was spoken by a bureaucrat who’s afraid his job is on the line. And the “more dialog” bit is what passes for corporate communications these days (which is why I work for a small company).
And don’t worry about our brothers in Texas. While Houston isn’t as loopy as Austin, it still has more than its share of flakes. Texans are just smart enough to keep ‘em all cooped up in one area.
Oh, and thanks for the link to the article in American Thinker. They’re on my daily reading list, but I somehow missed that article.
